Mrs. Wendy has been sharing the gift of music with children for over 20 years.  Her love of music has been a major part of her life. She began her music career at an early age, playing piano at her home church and accompanying area choirs.  She earned her Bachelors degree in Piano Performance at the University of Alabama and her Masters degree in Piano Performance/Pedagogy at the University of Houston. After graduate school, Wendy stayed in Texas and taught piano and Kindermusik at Mrs. Nancy’s Music and St. John’s School. She then returned to her home state of Alabama where she taught piano at Samford University’s Preparatory Music Department and the Alabama School of Fine Arts, as well as general music at Our Lady of the Valley School. She has also been an accompanist for the Birmingham Children’s Choir, Birmingham Southern College, and Samford University. Wendy is an active member of the Birmingham Music Teachers Association (BMTA) where she serves as a counselor.  In addition to Kindermusik, Wendy currently teaches piano at her home studio. Wendy has felt a calling in her life to teach children of all ages and feels blessed by these many opportunities that have been set before her. She has made a career of bringing her love of music to others.  She has a love for children that enables her to share the gift of music with them, enabling them to create and experience their own musical adventure.

When not in the studio, Wendy enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her husband and two young boys. She is also a keyboardist and Sunday School teacher at her local church.
